Photography Tutorial: Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISOFeb 22, 2012
Photography Tutorial for Beginners: APERTURE Tutorial SHUTTER SPEED Tutorial ISO Tutorial There three things that affect the exposure of an image: The APERTURe, SHUTTER SPEED and ISO. You need to find the perfect balance between these three elements to get the right look that you want, as well as the right exposure. The aperture affects the amount of light that comes into the sensor and the depth of field. The depth of field will determine how much of the image is in focus. The shutter speed will determine the length of the exposure. The longer the shutter speed, the more light comes in, and the shorter the shutter speed, the less light comes into the image. It also determines the amount of blur that appears in the photo. A longer exposure is more susceptible to blur and camera shake. The ISO is the sensitivity of the sensor to light. Lower ISOs mean that the sensor is less sensitive and therefore going to need more light to expose an image. Higher ISO requires less light to expose and image, but adds noise the the image. Noise will saturate color, making them look unrealistic. Getting the right exposure is all about balancing these three elements. It will take time, but if you learn the basics, it gets easier! What is ISO or how to use ISO? Digital Photography Tutorial. Basic lesson for beginnersFeb 23, 2012
www.facebook.com www.PhotographersOnUTube.com Photography Tutorials & Tips A detailed tutorial of "ISO" with picture samples. Important Notes: * The higher the ISO the more sensitive the sensor is going to be to light. * The lower the ISO the less sensitive the sensor is going to be to light. You use low ISO when shooting in daylight or with studio light. You use high ISO when there is not a lot of light available. The drawback of high ISO is graininess/noise in picture. Do post this on Facebook so others can also learn and don't forget to join the facebook fan page. www.facebook.com If this video has helped you, please THUMBS UP, COMMENT and SUBSCRIBE. www.froknowsphoto.com/should-your-camera-shoot-without-a-card This is a tip for everyone with a DSLR. One of the first settings you should change in the camera even before you set it to RAW is to turn on the CARD LOCK in the menu. What this is doing is making sure that you do not shoot any pictures without a memory card in the camera. You would think it defaults to this but for some reasons it doesn't. I learned my lesson very early on when shooting film when I forgot to load a roll of film and started to shoot. I probably took about 20 shots before I realized I did not have film in the camera. So do yourself a favor and LOCK that bad boy up so you don't make the same mistakes I did!!!
